My New Soul EP Re-Issue April 30th

Neil Leyton’s “My New Soul” EP, released in 2000, will be re-issued April 30th 2021 in a 5-track format featuring the full version and radio edits of the year 2000 recording of My New Soul at Manta Eastern. Recorded and mixed by Nikki Servos, the band line-up at the time was Neil Leyton on vocals, guitar and hammond, along with Ky Anto on drums, Sean Kelly on bass and guest guitarist Vanya Drakul also. Brian Christopher from The Sinisters stepped in for the video shoot and also played live with Leyton around the same time, along with Ky on guitar and Sean on bass.

The EP also features three cover songs: “I’m Leavin'”, an Elvis Presley song by Jarrett/Charles, was recorded during the Secret Avenue album sessions but not included on that album. Hanoi Rocks’ “11th Street Kids” was recorded for Swedish Tribute album “11th Street Tales” on Feedback Boogie Records; and the Dogs d’Amour cover “Scared of Dying” was recorded for another tribute album that never came out.

These three cover songs are a good representation of some of the biggest influences on Neil Leyton as a musical artist, along with Bowie and the Stones close behind, perhaps his three biggest influences.
