Leyton’s Music Lives’ Episodes Eleven and Twelve feature “one of the most talented human beings I have ever had the pleasure to make music with”, opens Neil Leyton. Neil catches up with Ky over a Zoom call between Montreal and Lisbon, and for the first hour the two chat about Ky’s musical upbringing growing up in Northern Quebec before moving to Montreal, playing music in Los Angeles, then NYC, and back to Montreal to form Sassy Scarlet before relocating to Toronto where Ky would go on to play with the likes of Michael Monroe, Sylvain Sylvain and (not that this one compares!) Neil Leyton. Anto and Leyton would go on to record a side-project together, at Halla Music, entitled Pretty Volume – that will be more material in the second part of the interview coming next week…
